choose a show

Alright, you have two choices:

this Friday, April 20. It's the Brewery so you know it'll be a good time. But it's also my birthday, so it'll be extra fun.

-and/or-

Friday, April 27. with Flickerstick! We've been looking forward to this show for quite a while now. We haven't had a this solid of a lineup for a show in a really long time.

So choose a show and choose wisely. My vote would be that you choose both, but that's just me.

Oh, and I'm seeing Hot Fuzz this weekend. You don't know how long I've waited for this movie to come out! Anyone else? If it's 3/4 as good as Sean of the Dead then it will be great.

spring cleaning

Greetings. Well it's time for the 'ol spring cleaning tonight. We're cleaning out our practice space tonight...getting the old equipment out, sweeping up the cigarette butts, all that stuff. I say this because I feel like we're doing a spring cleaning all the way around. The first being the website; the second being the fact the we've awoken from our winter slumber and are writing new songs and playing shows after a long break. Hope everybody's enjoying the site and looking forward to our new activities.

Becky and I rented the first and second season of "The Office" this weekend and bummed out and watched all the ones I've missed. By far the best show on television. That's my tv recommendation. Just wanted you to know that.

Everyone should come out and see Johnny Goudie tomorrow night at VZD's. Years ago, when I was a newly minted 13 Stars member, we played a show with him and I've been a fan ever since. Check him out http://www.myspace.com/johnnygoudie. Come out and have a pre-St Patricks day guinness with me.

we're back

Bllooggg. Kinda sounds like a noise I make after drinking way too much. Anyways, it seems everybody has a blog these days so here's one more to add to your list.

So let me explain a little bit. With the re-launch of the new site I wanted to change things up a bit. I wanted to have this area for all the members of thirteen stars to "blog," but not to just talk about the band, songs, try to sell you some merch, etc. I also wanted this blog to be a discussion on views and opinions about any and every thing. Music, a little politics, shampoo vs conditioner, whatever the case may be.

So with that I'd encourage you to register for a blogger account so that you can post your comments and opinions on each of our blog entries. Since we're not playing quite as many shows these days maybe we can get some good discussion going inbetween show dates. Then on show dates we'll inundate you with show notices and tell you to come. :)
